The qualification has been created to develop and reward aesthetic practitioners working today and the
future, and to continue to bring recognition and professionalism to the health and aesthetics sector.
The rationale of the programme is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their aesthetic practice capabilities within the health and aesthetic sector. The expected outcome of the Certificate, which is the achievement of a recognised UK qualification, is for learners to develop the skills required by organisations and the aesthetic industry globally.
This is one of the foundation route to progress onto the level 7 Certificate in Aesthetic Practice.
This qualification provides a specialist work-related programme of study which provides breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, along with practical skills required in the aesthetics sector.
The course is made up of 5 mandatory units include:
- Legal and regulatory requirements in aesthetic practice
- Professional standards within aesthetic practice
- Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals
- Anatomy, physiology and morphology of the ageing face
- Skin micro-needling and chemical peels
Pre-Requisites to complete this course:
Level 4 in related field
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in industry. (Proof of certs to be provided)
Basic life support and anaphylaxis. (This is included to all enrolling students in the level 5 full course)
In certain circumstances, learners with considerable experience but no formal/regulated qualifications may be considered. This will be subject to interview with the centre and being able to demonstrate their ability to cope with the demands of the course and assessment.
Equipment
All equipment and models are supplied throughout your course. You will need access to a computer and internet to complete this course.
Course Timetable
We offer a flexible learning approach to this qualification allowing the learner to create a learning plan that works around their current work, life and family commitments.
The average learner can complete this course within 6 months with adequate academic input.
The course requires you to create a treatment portfolio of chemical peels and micro needling treatments.
Written work includes a range of short answer questions and assignment style essays.
How Do I Complete My Course?
The course is set with a blended learning approach.
All learners have access to the online training portal in which you will find a range of academic materials, videos and assessment work to complete.
Zoom classes are available Monday to Friday with an Assessor to discuss any aspect of the course, or academic support.
Live zoom classes related to specific units run monthly these are recorded and can be watched by learners at any point throughout the course.
The course offers a range of CPD education, confidence building, portfolio creation, education academic study and assessment days throughout the duration of your course these are all included with unlimited attendance allowance through out.
The course is complete with the attendance of a summative assessment day of which the external quality assurance team may observe your assessment to pass the course off as complete.
How Soon Can I Start My Course?
We enrol on this course on a daily basis as we have a flexible learning style.
Once deposit is recieved a learner will have a range of paperwork to complete and an induction meeting will be set with 48 hours either face to face or Zoom to complete your individual learning plan.
During the induction your Assessor will give you access to your training portal go through the training programme set initial learning targets and book your first dates to attend the centre.
