Whether you intend to be an assessor in a classroom environment or for professional training, the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA) allows you to become a qualified assessor and pursue your career goals.

 

The CAVA online course is ideal for those who want to assess in areas such as hairdressing and beauty, advanced aesthetic practice, care homes, leisure and more. Once completed you’ll be able to apply different assessment techniques to help guide others.

 

The level 3 assessors course delivered by online training means you can fit in the learning around your existing commitments. It’s a flexible course, allowing you to work from home where you’ll be supported by a dedicated tutor and quality course content.

This course will give you a qualification regulated by OFQUAL and replaces the A1\2 and D32\33 assessor qualification.

 

This course includes two mandatory units:

  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

No equipment will be required to complete this course, but you will need access to a computer / laptop and the internet to access your course materials.

The academic timetable is completely flexible. Learners can complete the course within in a matter of weeks if they apply themselves.

This course is expected to take the average learner 12/ 20 weeks to complete with a qualification time frame of approximately 234 educational hours.

This course is completed entirely online

This course is assessed in two way:

Assignments – this is a workbook with a range of written questions in which you must demonstrate your knowledge and ability to assess others.

The written assignments should include theory and relate to a real workplace or situations in which you will be involved in to make your explanations relevant points.

Your assessor will provide you with feedback and give the opportunity to resubmit assignments in the event that additional work is required.

 

Assessing – You will be required to assess at least two individuals in the area of expertise that you wish to assess. These cannot be simulated, and you will require an expert whiteness (a qualified assessor) to assess your assessing. If you do not have this then we may be able to provide support, additional charges may apply.

This is an Ofqual regulated course.
