Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS)
The Level 3 Teaching Qualification we offer here at Creative Touch is the Ofqual regulated Level 3 AET it is the ideal foundation course for anyone looking to teach in the adult education and skills sector.
You can take this course regardless of your skill level to begin on the path towards your career goal and learn at a pace which suits you as this course completely online-based education.
The Level 3 AET has approximately 48 hours of study time and, including research and assessment time, takes approximately 120 hours to complete. You can choose how you wish to divide these hours. You may wish to complete the course in a matter of weeks or spread it over the entire twelve month’s time frame set for completion.
This course includes three mandatory units:
- Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
- Understanding assessment in education and training
Course can be paid in full at the time of enrolment or payment plans available upon request.
No equipment will be required to complete this course, but you will need access to a computer / laptop and the internet to access your course materials.
The academic timetable is completely flexible. Learners can complete the course within in a matter of weeks if they apply themselves.
This course is expected to take the average learner 12 weeks to complete with a qualification time frame of approximately 120 educational hours.

This course is assessed in two way:
Assignments – these are workbooks with a range of written questions in which you must demonstrate your knowledge and ability to deliver teaching.
The written assignments should include theory and relate to a real workplace or teaching situations in which you will be involved in to make your explanations relevant points.
The assignments will help you to explore and apply the full teaching and learning cycle.
Your assessor will provide you with feedback and give the opportunity to resubmit assignments in the event that additional work is required.
Microteach – The final assessment in this course is the delivery of a 15-minute microteaching session which you will record and upload to your tutor for marking. This can be on a subject of your choice but must demonstrate that you can deliver the content in which you have studied over the three units.
