Micro-needling

Medical micro-needling is a revolutionary advanced treatment that can help to stimulate collagen and elastin production. The procedure can result in smoother, firmer, healthier and younger-looking skin. It is a skin renewal technique that has been shown in many research studies to help induce natural collagen synthesis via natural wound healing responses. The concept of skin micro-needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical injury, even if it is only a micro-injury.

Micro-needling promotes a controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro-injuries which trigger new collagen synthesis. As a result, the treatment is associated with a reduction of wrinkle depth, softening of facial fine lines, enhancement of skin elasticity and firmness, as well as improvement on the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks and skin flaws. It is done without the use of any chemical peels, without the need to ‘prime’ the skin with weeks of face cream.

The Dermapen Micro-needling procedure is suitable for all skin types, can be used on sensitive skin, without the risk of hyperpigmentation and on top of that, it is highly versatile and can be used on skin around the eyes, face, neck, décolletage, hands & body. Due to its notable safety profile, Micro-needling therapy is suitable for men and women, all year round, as intensive rejuvenation course or as maintenance of healthy-looking skin. Dermapen is a revolutionary micro-needling treatment which is completely safe and it can significantly improve the appearance of:

  • Wrinkles
  • Skin laxity
  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks

Mesotherapy serum such as hyaluronic acid can be infiltrated during the procedure for added hydration and firmness regime. In cases such as acne scarring, 3-5 treatments would produce the most dramatic results. Skincare products following treatment involving Hyarulonic Acid serum, vitamin B5 serum, vitamin C serum and sunscreen are crucial for the best possible results between each treatment cycle.

PRP Rejuvenation for Skin

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy utilises growth factors retrieved from your blood to rejuvenate your skin. It is very popular due to the fact that there are no additions of any pharmaceutical products, and the end result can be astonishing and, more importantly, natural. Platelets contain large numbers of growth factors, which have been extensively researched and widely used in the medical field to promote tissue healing. By isolating and separating the PRP from your blood, a concentrated, naturally occurring solution of growth factors can be injected into the precise locations you want to target.

PRP rejuvenation stimulates collagen production and triggers skin rejuvenation process. It can be used anywhere on the face or body. Although this therapy is particularly popular for rejuvenation of the face, it is also frequently used on the décolletage, hands, knees, scalp, stretch marks or scars. To further intensify the process, PRP rejuvenation therapy can be combined with skin booster (hyaluronic acid) and mesotherapy.

It is fascinating to witness how PRP is cleverly being retrieved. A small amount (i.e. 10-20ml) of blood is taken from your arm in the same way as if you were having a blood test taken by your doctor. This is then placed in a centrifuge and spun to separate the plasma from the other blood components. PRP is then isolated from the plasma ready to be used. The whole procedure will take around 30-45 minutes including injections.

There is no risk of allergy or rejection as the PRP is obtained from you and the concentrated natural growth factors are only meant for you. Results from this procedure are usually noticeable after 3 weeks with optimal collagen regeneration taking up to 3 months to occur. The results typically last up to 18 months. Effect of the treatment may vary and most conditions will require 2-3 sessions, usually 4-6 weeks apart. There is no limit to the number of treatments you can have for skin rejuvenation and maintenance. Your skin will be noticeably better in every way and it is all down to your own natural growth factors.

Chemical Peel

The chemical peel is a very popular treatment for skin rejuvenation. It allows a depth-controlled and even peel to the skin. It helps the old, uneven and photo-damaged skin being removed and replaced with a new collagen-rich layer. Over the years, the use of chemical peels have been thoroughly studied and have become an effective anti-ageing and corrective therapy against sun-damaged skin, age-related skin changes such as fine lines, wrinkles, freckles, skin blemishes, pigmentation disorder, uneven skin tone, dilated pores, greasy and acne-prone skin, and acne scarring.

The deeper the peel, the more downtime will be involved, but it also means a better result. A superficial peel is sufficient to improve skin blemishes, pore size, oiliness and acne. A medium depth chemical peel can drastically improve fine lines, deep wrinkles and sunspots.
