Lips
Lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that can give you fuller, plumper more defined lips. These days, an injectable dermal filler is the most commonly used method of lip augmentation. It helps increase volume and definition in your lips. These types of dermal fillers are sometimes called hyaluronic acid fillers.
Brands of filler we use in the lips:
– Juvederm
– Restylane
As we age, we naturally lose collagen and fat. This leads to thinness and sagginess of the face, including the lips. Lip fillers work by replacing that lost collagen and fat.
Different brands of filler have different guidelines of how long results should last for its typically anywhere between 6-12 months though this can vary from patient to patient dependant on several different factors one including each person’s metabolism.
Common risks associated with lip fillers include swelling, bruising, redness, and the development of nodules although these side-effects are usually mild. As for controlling pain, a topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to ensure patient comfort.
Cheeks
Dermal cheek fillers is a cosmetic treatment that is designed to add volume, contour the face and rejuvenate the cheek area.
Dermal filler injections can be used in a variety of areas to add volume to the skin. A popular area being the cheeks.
Sometimes the cheeks can look sunken and the face profile doesn’t meet your desired taste. Fillers help you to regain a youthful curve to the cheeks and a strong facial contour. It restores the lost volume and encourages a gentle lifting effect by injecting filler into the desired areas.
The treatment will last about 30-45 minutes. You may experience slight swelling and redness afterwards but this will go down within a couple of days. As with all treatments it is expected that you will experience some slight discomfort throughout the procedure. A numbing cream will be applied to help reduce any pain.
Chin
Have you always felt that your chin was not prominent enough? Perhaps you feel it is not quite in balance with the rest of your face, or it may appear to be too weak. Thankfully, there is a solution. Chin enhancement can be performed with dermal fillers to make your chin appear more prominent or improve its symmetry and visual balance.
A chin augmentation treatment can change the contours of your chin through the injection of dermal fillers. These fillers add volume under the skin making the chin appear more prominent or increase its definition. Chin enhancement using dermal fillers can subtly change the appearance of the chin area. It can make the chin appear more chiselled – a common request from male patients – or create softer contours, as requested by many women.
It is common to experience some degree of swelling, redness, and tenderness after dermal filler injections. Bruising may also occur. These side effects usually last less than two days, and they can be camouflaged with make-up.
Jawline
There are many reasons to undergo jaw enhancement. Enhancing the jaw line with dermal filler injections can give you a more youthful appearance by filling in loose skin. By smoothing the contours of the jaw, it increases the definition of this area. Jaw enhancement can also decrease the appearance of jowls, or hanging folds of fat and skin drooping beneath the jawline. Please not jawline filler treatment is not a weightloss tool or liposuction, if your BMI is out of a healthy range/you have excess fatty tissue around your jaw or if your jaw muscles are too strong we wouldn’t be able give you that real defined jawline look.
The entire jaw enhancement takes about 1 hour from start to finish. Afterwards, patients are free to leave our office immediately and return to their normal daily activities. There are no bandages required, and no downtime is needed. Patients should avoid rubbing or touching their jaw for several days after treatment.
The results of jaw enhancement treatments usually last between 6 and 12 months. Gradually, the body absorbs the injected material, and the jaw returns to its pre-treatment appearance. Many patients return for repeat visits to keep up the appearance of their jawline.
Mild swelling and redness surrounding the injection sites are common. These issues can be concealed with make-up, and should subside within a few days.
Marionette & Nasolabial lines
Nasolabial and Marionette Lines. Laugh lines or smile lines that start by the nose and go down beside your mouth are called nasolabial folds. These lines can run into the marionette lines or the vertical lines that run downward from the outer corners of your mouth to along the outside of the chin.
For lines around the mouth, we most often use dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that restore lost volume in the face, stimulate collagen production, and attract moisture to the treatment area. This fills in the wrinkles and folds while improving skin texture and flexibility.
Many dermal fillers are used to fill nasolabial folds and marionette lines. We will choose the right filler or combination of fillers based on your needs. We determine the right products based on how deep your wrinkles are, your expected results, medical history, and other factors.
