The Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Entry to Aesthetic Therapies (RQF) is aimed at learners who do
not have a formal beauty therapy background and wish to work towards further study at Level 4 and
above. This practical and knowledge-based qualification has been created to further develop and equip practitioners with the skills competencies to progress into advanced aesthetic practice at level 4 within weeks, not months, like alternative level 3 beauty courses.
This level 3 course requires no previous experience and can be entered from the age of 16.
The course is made up of 6 mandatory units including:
- Health and Safety in Aesthetics Practice
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Client Care, Skin Analysis, and Assessment
- Electrical Science for Aesthetics Practice
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Provide Facial Skincare Treatments

This is comprised of a range of in house sessions for practical training, professional development, and assessments. Along with Zoom educational lessons. The majority of this course is can be delivered remotely, so a great option for distance learners.
The learner will be expected to attend the centre 1-2 days over the duration of the course, timetables can be flexible to meet the individual learner’s needs.
This course allows the learner up to 12 months to complete there practical portfolio and written assignments, but can be completed in as little as 6 weeks if educational hours are applied.
